Supergirl hasn't found the time to visit her cousin during Superman & Lois' first season just yet, but the new CW series did very nearly feature a Kara Danvers Easter egg.
Episode two, titled 'Heritage', was initially meant to show viewers a photograph of the Girl of Steel alongside the couple. But, because of COVID and scheduling issues, it sadly had to be removed from the final edit.
"It got cut out for time, but when Lois quits [The Daily Planet] and she's walking down the hall towards the elevator and she grabs some things from her desk, one of the things she's holding is a picture with her, Kara and Clark," Superman & Lois showrunner Todd Helbing told TVLine.

"There's been this weird set of circumstances where, because of production or timing or COVID, everything in the show that was related to the Arrowverse has gotten pulled out. It's just another one of those things."
The CW wasn't able to do its usual Arrowverse crossover event following up to 2019's Crisis on Infinite Earths, with Helbing adding that they had every intention of centring one on Batwoman.
"[The pandemic] just halted everything," he said. "And the further away we got from the Crisis of it all, the more it felt like we were opening a can of worms every time we had to explain the connection. We'll see how this all pans out for next season."

The pandemic also caused Superman & Lois' first season to take a break from airing earlier this year, after there was a filming pause on the show's Vancouver set, but it finally resumes on Tuesday (May 18) in the US.
And while Kara's journey in the Arrowverse is coming to an end later this year, her cousin's new series was The CW's second-largest premiere since Batwoman in 2019 – and it's already been renewed for a second season.
Superman & Lois airs every Tuesday on The CW in the US. A UK release date has not yet been confirmed. Supergirl's sixth and final season returns on August 24 in the US. Sky One and NOW air the show in the UK.
