WWE presented a very unique match during WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday (May 16), which featured zombies!
But whatever your take on the match, one thing's for sure – former WWE Superstar-turned-actor Dave Bautista had nothing to do with it.
WrestleMania Backlash was sponsored by Bautista's new zombie action movie Army of the Dead and references to the film were tied in throughout the PPV.

The PPV opened with Bautista narrating a video package and ads for the film were sprinkled throughout, but nobody could have expected what was to come next.
Ahead of the Lumberjack Match between Damian Priest and The Miz, John Morrison opened a locker room door to find it full of zombies.
Yes, instead of wrestlers, the lumberjacks for the match were an undead army. Fans online were quick to voice their disapproval and one even went straight to 'The Animal' himself, writing: "Hey Dave I love you, but this zombie shit on the WWE Backlash show was insulting!"
However (and there's strong language in the tweet below), Dave was quick to let everyone know the zombies were not his idea. "Wtf you telling me?!!" he replied. "You think I booked a bunch of f**king zombies. I'm on a damn plane! Shouldn't you be tweeting Vince [McMahon]?!"
Earlier that night, Dave had tweeted: "Wishing good luck to all the WWE Superstars competing tonight at #WMBacklash. Sorry I couldn't make it … but some of my friends will."
