Paulson will reunite with long-time collaborator Murphy for Impeachment, in which she plays Linda Tripp, a US civil servant who secretly recorded phone calls with Monica Lewinsky as she spoke about her relationship with the then-president Bill Clinton.
Based on Jeffrey Toobin's 2000 book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President, Impeachment will bring the controversy of the political scandal, and the trial that followed, to the small screen.

Lady Bird's Beanie Feldstein will star as Lewinsky, with The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie star Edie Falco expected to take on the role of Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady.
