Shadow and Bone's Jesper Fahey has fast become a fan favourite thanks to his gunslinging prowess. But actor Kit Young has admitted to not always feeling comfortable around a prop gun.
Young – who plays Jesper in the Netflix adaptation of Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse novels – spoke exclusively to Digital Spy following Shadow and Bone's release, reflecting on everything from fan reactions to his casting, to goats and handling a prop gun.

It didn't start off well, however. Recalling the moment the show's stunt team gave the cast props to practise with, Kit told us: "They gave me these prop guns. And they said, 'Spin them. Give them a go. See if you can do it forwards and backwards.'
"I immediately dropped one," the actor admitted. "And it smashed everywhere."
Giving Shadow and Bone fans something to look out for on their next watch, Kit revealed: "If you watch very closely, you'll see at the end of the season that the tricks are far more complex than the tricks I do at the beginning where I'm just scared of dropping it."

"I go once forward, once back," he added. "Whereas at the end of the season, it was just constant. It was an extension of my arm, really."
Talk about learning on the job, eh.
Shadow and Bone is now streaming on Netflix.
