Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Michelle Gomez has thanked the Netflix show's loyal fans for campaigning against its cancellation, although she's quite happy to leave them wanting more.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the Mary Wardwell actress spoke of her appreciation for the fan campaign, admitting she'd jump back into the series without hesitation if it's saved.

The Change.org campaign was kickstarted by fans back in July when Netflix announced that season four would be the last outing for Kiernan Shipka's version of the teenage witch.

Asked how she feels about the effort to keep Sabrina going, Gomez said: "You know, when you've been knocking around for as long as I have, you should always know when to leave the party.

"I always think: leave them wanting more. Leave when you're still a success, and you're flying high."

She continued: "I think it's very heartening and glorious that people love Sabrina that much that they want to campaign to keep it. And listen, if that works, and old Madam Satan gets a call, I will be the first one on that flight back out there.

"So I just thank the fans for their loyalty and generosity. But there's always something new on the horizon. And there's so much content out there. Nothing stays the same in life. It's just kind of heartbreaking, but it's life."

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina seasons 1-3 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 4 premieres on December 31.
