Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes isn't about to crop up in season 2 of The Walking Dead: World Beyond – sorry, folks.
While in conversation with ComicBook, the TV franchise's chief content officer Scott Gimple was questioned about whether the World Beyond clan's journey to New York will feature an encounter with the man who started it all.
As fans of this zombie apocalypse will know, Rick is about to receive his own trilogy of spin-off movies after leaving the flagship show two years ago, but his future TV-wise has been unclear.

On whether World Beyond's ultimate destination is Rick, Gimple confirmed: "You know what? I'm very happy to say... I'm not happy to say the answer... I'm happy to be definitive with people. It is not.
"I don't know if people are being cagey about that, but I feel that one's important not to be cagey about.

He then went on to reiterate that Lincoln's iconic character will not be "swinging around the corner", insisting that he doesn't want to leave viewers anticipating something that's not going to happen.
