Tiger King star Doc Antle (pictured below) has been indicted on charges of animal cruelty and wildlife trafficking.
According to Virginia's Attorney General (via TMZ), the owner and founder of Myrtle Beach Safari was indicted on Friday (October 9) after an "investigation found evidence he trafficked lion cubs between South Carolina and Virginia".
Antle has also been charged with one count of conspiracy to sell or transport endangered wildlife, four counts of conspiracy to violate the Endangered Species Act, and nine counts of animal cruelty.

Tawny Antle and Tilakam Watterson, Antle's two daughters, have also been charged with animal cruelty and violating the Endangered Species Act.
In the hit Netflix docuseries, it's noted that Antle's safari park was raided last December. Keith A Wilson, owner of Wilson's Wild Animal Park in Winchester, Virginia, was also charged as a result of the investigation.

According to local authorities, 119 animals were seized from his zoo, including lions, tigers, bears, camels, goats, water buffalo and more. It's claimed some of the animals came from Antle.
TMZ reports that Antle and his daughters have not been arrested.
Centring on eccentric zoo owner Joe Exotic, his infamous collection of big cats, and eventual conviction for ordering a hit on his rival Carole Baskin (which he's reportedly appealing), Tiger King became an instant hit with Netflix audiences.
Not only will there be a second season of the documentary, but Nicolas Cage is also set to star as Exotic in a dramatised series for Amazon Prime Video.
