Game of Thrones' creators have admitted that there are things they "would do differently" following the show's divisive finale.
The series came to an end last year but the resolution of the plot was met with a ton of backlash, including criticism from some cast members and a Change.org petition requesting the final season be remade, signed by nearly 2 million people.
In his new book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon, writer James Hibberd asked Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss about their thoughts on the negative response to the finale.

"There definitely are things [over the course of the show] we would do differently," he said. "I don't know if there's anything I would want to discuss publicly."
Weiss was also reluctant to elaborate, explaining: "Prince once said something about how any record you listen to that you think is terrible, somebody worked themselves to the bone to make it.
“So many people work so hard on any aspect of a thing. So when you say something critical it can sound like you're blaming somebody else. And really the only people who are to blame are us – and I sure as hell don't want to blame us."

Speaking about what he was less than pleased with, Thrones author George RR Martin recently revealed the scene he disliked the most from the show.
