The stars of Supernatural have posted some emotional messages as filming begins on the final ever episode.

The show has been running since 2005, with the 15th season airing the final stretch of episodes from October, which were delayed because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Sam Winchester star Jared Paladecki posted a photo of himself in his car to Instagram, writing: "As I head out to the first day on my LAST season finale, I can't help but be incredibly grateful for all that Supernatural and the #SPNFamily mean to me. It's been an incredible journey, to say the least. I, for one, am hoping that #SupernaturalNeverDies."

It was previously revealed that the script for the finale had to be changed to accommodate the pandemic, but they should only be a few adjustments.
