Julie Benz has admitted that she is still hoping for a second season of No Ordinary Family.
The show's ratings have fallen in recent weeks, while series star Michael Chiklis recently signed up to star in a CBS comedy pilot.
"I think we created a great show," Benz told the New York Post. "We're on a very tough night and we're up against three monsters [American Idol, The Biggest Loser and NCIS].
The actress added that she was trying "to be very Zen" about the show's future.
"I can't make the decisions happen," she said. "I always believe there will be another [season]. And if there's not? There's always that fear."
She continued: "I've been making a living as an actor. Sometimes [it's] a great living, sometimes not so good. If you want job security, don't be an actor."
