Supergirl star Melissa Benoist and The Flash's Grant Gustin have paid a touching tribute to Arrow's legacy.
With eight seasons behind it, Arrow became The CW's flagship show that kicked off the official Arrowverse.
In a new interview with TV Guide, Benoist and Gustin opened up about the end of Oliver Queen's journey in the Arrowverse, paying tribute to Stephen Amell's superhero who carved out the way for many characters in The CW's DC Universe.

"Stephen started all of this. And the legacy he's leaving is pretty incredible," Benoist said.
"You know, we almost have our own Justice League on television, and the universe is massive and he was always at the helm. So it'll be different without him and an adjustment without him there and without all the Arrow people there."
Gustin added: "Stephen's always been so great to me, personally, and to just the world as a whole. He's definitely been the leader of the Arrowverse, and I don't want to have to take up that place. They'll be missed."
Amell recently opened up about the reason he returned to Arrow for the final season since he wanted to quit after season 7.
"You know there was a lot of issues going back for season 8 for me, just because I thought 7 was the logical conclusion," he said on the podcast Inside of You. "I was done. I was ready to move on and then I got the proverbial offer that I couldn't refuse."
Arrow season 8 airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW in the US. In the UK, it airs on Sky One and NOW TV.
