It sounds like the Power franchise is well and truly here to stay, as there are three more spin-offs in consideration.

One we already knew about – starring Grammy Award winner Mary J Blige and titled Power Book II: Ghost – is already in production and it's now also been confirmed that rapper Method Man has joined her in the cast.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, Starz President and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch explained that there are three other shows in the works too, and they "are [as] good if not better than what Courtney Kemp put together" for Power.

"Some titles are prequels, some sequels, some spinoffs," he explained (via Deadline).

"There's a lot of rich characters that we can choose to pull out," Kemp added, but declined to say any more because otherwise "you'd know who does and who doesn't die" in Power.

Although no more details have been shared about this trio of spin-offs, it's certainly a bold move from the network and mirrors HBO's post-Game of Thrones blueprint to some extent.

We'd be surprised if all three manage to gain the greenlight, but it's fair to say this brutal and powerful franchise (no pun intended) is going absolutely nowhere anytime soon.

What would you like to see explored in another potential spin-off? The possibilities are endless.

Power airs on Sundays at 9pm on Starz in the US, and is available on Netflix every Monday in the UK.
