Although most actors would've jumped at the chance to appear on the hit NBC sitcom Friends, Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she was asked to return for a second stint on the show – but said no.
The Big Little Lies star appeared in two episodes back in 2000, playing Rachel Green's (Jennifer Aniston) spoiled younger sister Jill.
During the ongoing press tour for Apple+ TV series The Morning Show, in which she stars alongside Aniston, Witherspoon admitted that she said no to the producers when they asked her to come back for more episodes as she couldn't hack performing in front of a live audience.

In an interview posted on the AP Entertainment Twitter account, when asked about her experience in front of a live audience, Aniston was quick to sing her co-star's praises.
"She's so good in front of a live audience," she said. "You [Witherspoon] forget it because you blacked out from fear."
"I've never done it again," Witherspoon confirmed, before adding: "Did you know they asked me back? They asked me back and I said I couldn't do it… I was too scared!"
Genuinely shocked at this revelation and clearly a little disappointed, Aniston replied: "What a shame! You would have started to love it."
Well, there’s certainly still an opportunity to make up for it and get Witherspoon's spoiled city girl back with her on-screen sister as a Friends reunion with the OG cast is finally in the works – but only for an unscripted special to celebrate the sitcom's 25th anniversary.
Friends airs daily on Comedy Central in the UK and is also streaming on Netflix.
