If you've already dived into season two of Jack Ryan – the Prime Video series hit screens yesterday (October 31), a day ahead of its official release – you will no doubt have MANY questions on your mind, such is the nature of the show.
The action thriller poses twists and turns aplenty as Ryan (John Krasinski), James Greer (Wendell Pierce) and co find themselves in Venezuela working against a backdrop of political and social unrest, with the added threat of an illegal shipment of weapons smuggled into the country.
Let your mind wander and you risk missing a key detail essential to unlocking the mystery at the heart of the series' second chapter.
As you'd expect, showrunners Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland have introduced a raft of new characters to spice things up. One of them is hitman Max Schenkel.
He quickly falls into Ryan's bad books when he murders Senator Jim Moreno (Benito Martinez), his mentor and dear friend, as well as trying and failing to assassinate Jack. Lovely.
What to Read Next
Schenkel is played by Tom Wlaschiha, and while some of you will have clocked where you've seen him before, the rest of you might still be scratching your heads.
Wlaschiha has an extensive CV, the majority of which is in his native German tongue. But he's also appeared in one of the most famous TV shows of all time, in which he played one of the series' most puzzling characters.
We are, of course, talking about Game of Thrones and the enigmatic Jaqen H'ghar, one of the Faceless Men who trained Arya Stark to become an assassin.
