Marvel's Agents of SHIELD may have only wrapped up its sixth season recently, but we've already got our first-look at the seventh and final season.

Even though Disney's D23 expo contained lots of announcements for new Marvel shows, there was still time dedicated to the grandaddy of the MCU's TV side.

Luckily, people who didn't attend the convention have the chance to watch the teaser, which is actually the opening scene of the final season.

Following on from the end of season 6, the team find themselves in New York City in 1931, right in the middle of Prohibition-era America. They've also got an LMD (Life Model Decoy) of Phil Coulson, because you can't have Agents of SHIELD without Clark Gregg.

They aren't the only one touching down in the NYC though, as the scene shows the Chronicoms arriving and stealing the faces of some unfortunate police officers.

They're on a mission to completely erase the SHIELD organisation from the pages of history. Can our heroes stop them? (Probably yes, but let's keep an open mind).

Even though season 7 won't air until 2020, the cast have already wrapped filming — and it was emotional.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs on ABC in the US, and on E4 in the UK.
