The Walking Dead returns with its 10th season this autumn, but fans might be surprised by one potential team-up when it airs.
Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 over the weekend, Norman Reedus (who plays Daryl Dixon) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) offered an insight into their characters' relationship.

Reedus told Digital Spy and other press: "We're not on the same team, for sure, but there's something between us that we connect with," before Morgan added: "We're all kind of heading in the same direction this year."
Yumiko actress Eleanor Matsuura also went on to discuss the themes running through season 10 and how they'll connect to Daryl and Negan's arc.
"It steers off into an espionage kind of vibe," she said. "It's got a Cold War [feel], quiet paranoia creeping into the world. There's a lot of double-crossing and wondering if people are telling the truth. It's more psychological, in a way I don't think the show's done before.

"With the threats that the group is surrounded by, there's a paranoia this season with who's who and what's what and who can trust who. We let new people in and they might not be as nice as we thought they were.
"There's a whole back-and-forth espionage thing going so [Daryl and Negan] might need to pair up one day. Who knows? It might be Team Degan!"
