Arrow is promoting another one of its stars to series regular status for the final season.
TVLine is reporting that Katherine McNamara – star of Shadowhunters – will be back for the CW show's eighth season as Mia Smoak as part of the main cast.
Mia first appeared midway through season 7 and was revealed to be Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak's daughter.

McNamara's promotion follows the news that Joseph David-Jones (who plays Connor Hawke) will also be a series regular on the show's return.
But Emily Bett Rickards, who played Felicity, has left the show and may not be back at all.
"[A return is] not completely up to me. Never say never," she said, when asked recently about making one more appearance before the end.
Arrow was renewed for a ten-episode final season back in March, and star Stephen Amell thanked the fans for their support over the years.

"Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever,” he said.
"There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you."
The superhero series will return to screens in the US on Tuesday, October 15.
Arrow airs on The CW in the US, and Sky One in the UK.
