Killing Eve recently returned for a well-received second season in America, and we're finally going to get to catch up with it in the UK soon.

With all the crazy success the show has had, obviously there's demand for more, more, more. But how long could the series feasibly go on for? With the intense relationship being the focal point of the show, they can't really drag it out, can they?

'Who knows?' is basically the answer at this point. Producer Sally Woodward Gentle told The Hollywood Reporter that an ending "genuinely hasn't" been mapped out.

When pressed if the title Killing Eve means that Sandra Oh's character is definitely going to meet her grisly fate, Gentle replied: "It is called Killing Eve but also Eve is all women, so what does that mean? Who knows?"

Maybe the 'killing' refers to her being in the process of being killed, emotionally, by her obsession/relationship with Jodie Comer's Villanelle. Oooh, that'd be poetic.

Comer recently won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for her role, and delivered an emotional speech while picking up her trophy.

Meanwhile, the show's creator and former showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge admitted that she came very close to actually starring in the show, but not in a leading role like you might expect.

Killing Eve will return to BBC One and iPlayer in the UK at some point in June.
