Susan Boyle is set to return to where it all began as she takes part in a new special series of America's Got Talent.

The singer wowed audiences for the first time nearly 10 years ago (has it really been that long?) when she first stepped on stage on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.

While she didn’t go on to win the series (that was Diversity, in case you forgot), SuBo went on to immense success in the following years, breaking records in the process.

However, the singer has admitted she has "something to prove" as she reunites with Simon Cowell for America's Got Talent: The Champions series in the US.

"I couldn't possibly walk away from a second chance to prove myself," Susan said of her big return, per USA Today. "I'm really looking forward to singing - this time, with something to prove."

The new series is also set to feature first-ever BGT winner Paul Potts alongside Susan, Simon recently opening up about their return.

"I think her and Paul in particular, they defined the show which is giving the underdog a shot and then they had a career, and I don't think another show could have done that," he said.

As well as Susan and Paul, The Champions is set to see returns from 2013 winners Attraction and 2017 runner-up Issy Simpson.

America's Got Talent: The Champions premieres on Monday, January 7 on NBC, and welcomes back all four of the judges, Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. The show will also have a new host in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Terry Crews.
