Amazing news. But on top of that, it will also be interesting to see how – if at all – Christian's pregnancy will affect the TV show and her awesome character.

Shooting for the seventh season has already wrapped up, so it definitely won't impact this current season.

Beyond that (if Rosita is still alive, of course), the pregnancy may impact the start of season eight.

Alanna Masterson recently had a baby, and was written out for several episodes with her character Tara going on a two-week supply run with Heath.

When she returned to the show, she had a whole episode dedicated to her detailing what happened on her travels when she encountered a new community called Oceanside.

In the Walking Dead comics (stop reading if you don't want to know!), Rosita actually became pregnant. The TV show is still pretty behind – but if the writers wanted to go there, they could introduce that storyline sooner.

Rosita has become a divisive character this season, with some critics believing she has become a "smug, self-important ass". Others have pointed out that this is simply her way of dealing with the deaths of Glenn and especially Abraham.

The Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US and on FOX in the UK.
