Holby City's Tina Hobley has opened up about the impact her injuries sustained on Channel 4's The Jump have had on her life.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, Tina revealed that her injuries - which included two arm breaks and a dislocated elbow - were "worse than first thought".

The actress suffered "three major traumas", which have made even the simplest tasks a challenge.

"For much of the year I haven't been able to drive, dress, wash my hair or have a bath unaided. My daughter has had to help me put my clothes on," Tina shared.

"And for months at a time I haven't been able to take the kids to school, run errands, or do any of the things I love like yoga, cycling or walking any kind of distance."

Tina was left injured after swerving to avoid a member of the crew in the jump's landing area - despite being told it was safe for her to jump.

Although she was initially up for the idea of returning to the extreme sports show, Tina has since admitted she wouldn't put her body, or family, "through that trauma again".

"I look at my body in a very different way now. [It] is so precious," she added.

Tina is not the only one to have suffered at the hands of The Jump's slopes - Beth Tweddle fractured two veterbrae in her neck after a nasty crash on the ski jump, and fellow Olympian Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder in an accident "more painful than childbirth".

In spite of all the controversy (or perhaps because of it?), The Jump will be returning for a fourth series early next year.
