Andrea Faustini was eliminated from The X Factor on night one of the grand finale on Saturday (December 13).

Faustini's departure leaves Fleur East and Ben Haenow as the final two contestants vying to become X Factor champion on Sunday (December 14).

East was the first act put through to the final, before Dermot O'Leary revealed Faustini's elimination.

"It's just incredible – I've come so far," Faustini told O'Leary. "This has been the most crazy and beautiful experience of my life."

He added: "I want to say a massive thank you to my family… to the judges and to Mel!"

Mel B was unable to appear during Saturday's live show due to falling ill. She was replaced on the judging panel by Tulisa Contostavlos.

The night also included all-star duets for the contestants, ahead of the elimination.

Labrinth teamed up with East for a version of 'Beneath Your Beautiful' on The X Factor stage, just after Ed Sheeran was brought in to sing chart-topping hit 'Thinking Out Loud' with Haenow.

Faustini performed a version of 'Ghost' with Henderson, who finished in sixth place on The X Factor back in 2012.

Dermot O'Leary opened up the show by bringing out all three finalists to join Take That for a rousing rendition of 'Rule the World'.

The X Factor concludes on Sunday (December 14) on ITV.
