Samia Ghadie has responded to Jorgie Porter's comments on Dancing on Ice about her boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon.

Longchambon dated Porter's Hollyoaks co-star Jennifer Metcalfe after they competed on the show three years ago, but left her for his 2013 Dancing on Ice partner Ghadie.

When Porter discovered on tonight's (January 5) show that she would be paired with Longchambon for this year's All-Star series, she was visibly uncomfortable and joked: "Does that mean I'm going to be his new girlfriend?'"

Ghadie took to Twitter today in response to Porter's comments, as well as to the VT about the couple and jokes made by presenter Philip Schofield on the live show.

Ghadie wrote: "Jorgie needn't worry... He [Longchambon] won't go for burgers..."

She also retweeted a fan's message reading: "@dancingonice don't like what you have done with the VT for Jorgie & Sylvain very distasteful &very unfair on @slongchambon and @realsamia."

Schofield later defended his remarks, responding to a tweet saying that he wouldn't like his private life plastered all over the TV.

He replied: "I didn't do Hello magazine! Just a bit of gentle ribbing s'all."

Meanwhile, Porter's on-screen cousin Gemma Merna also waded in on the dispute, telling Ghadie: "Please do not call my best mate @misJORGIEPORTER a burger !!! How old r u ? GROW UP!"

Porter had previously warned Longchambon not to make any advances towards her, saying: "It was all very dramatic when I found out who my partner was. There was a lot of silence. They told me live on camera and I ended up on the floor."

When asked about what she would do if he made a move on her, she added: "I'll just kick him in the balls."
