It was ex-Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter's turn to visit Lorraine this morning (June 7) for a good old chinwag to discuss her TV experiences, home life and future plans.

And the 30-year-old – who is making her stage debut with her upcoming role in Fame – was keen to reiterate her desire to appear on the BBC's ever popular Strictly Come Dancing.

So, while Jorgie has already done the likes of Dancing on Ice and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out if Here!, where she proved popular with viewers, Lorraine Kelly was quick to propose the idea of signing up to another dance-based contest.

"Now, what about the hat-trick? Because you're dancing in Fame, you're doing all of these things..." questioned the host, to which Jorgie replied: "I've always wanted to do Strictly, from day dot.

"I think I've done everything but Strictly, dating shows and all the things. I think I'd take it so seriously maybe the public would hate me, because I'm so serious!"

Lorraine was quick to dispel Jorgie's concerns, noting that the opportunity to further her dancing techniques and talent would be great for her.

The pair also spoke about a rumoured Torvill and Dean movie, and Jorgie admitted that she would be ecstatic to portray Jayne Torvill, the Olympic ice-skating icon.

"Let's make that happen," Lorraine declared. "That's what we should do."

Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 8.30am.
