Jeremy McConnell got emotional on today's (March 7) The Jeremy Kyle Show as he was grilled about his relationship with his son.
Last year, McConnell was found guilty of assaulting former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis and was given a three-year restraining order. He got tearful when Kyle asked how he can call himself a "good father" when he hasn't seen Caben-Albi for eight months.
"Of course I miss him. I love him to bits," McConnell responded. "It's sad because look at him, like, that's the link to my mum and dad. My mum and dad passed away and that's my little boy. I never wanted a broken relationship with Steph."
He added that while he had his part to play in the breakdown of their relationship, which was "bad", he's "not a bad person".
"I'm not violent to women except for the incident I was convicted of. I accept responsibility for that. At the end of the day, I was convicted of a crime and I accept it. I'm not playing the victim, I've done my time," McConnell noted.
The restraining order means that contact with Davis can only be made via social services, solicitors or the family court for child contact.

As well as discussing his relationship with Davis, the interview also saw McConnell admit that his TV career is over: "No one is going to touch me with a 10-foot barge pole. My name is tarnished and I accept that."
