Don't Tell The Bride was back tonight – and once again a poor bride had virtually all her wishes ignored as her groom let loose to plan their special day.

PE teachers Chris and Charlotte from Worthing were featured tonight, a competitive couple who seemed on the same page at first glance:

Not so much. Because once Charlotte had taken their daughter and moved to her sister's for three weeks, Chris revealed his plans for an assault course on their wedding day.

Yes, an ASSAULT COURSE. Like Total Wipeout, in his words.

Before Chris could start his preparations, viewers on Twitter were quick to notice and compliment his good looks:

Pupils of the teachers were also watching at home:

Attention turned to what Charlotte would wear on her big day and Chris ignored his fiancee's request for her to have a feminine dress to wear in a church with family connections.

Instead, he chose a leotard and bright pink tights for her:

As for the venue, Chris settled on Hove Rugby Club – allowing space for his assault course and the reception, which was to be split into a decadent 1920s three-course waiter-served meal or a "soup kitchen"... depending on whether the bride or groom's family won the race.

Poor Charlotte was left in tears and said she didn't want to go to bed and wake up for her wedding because of the outfit she had to wear for her big day.

And so the wedding arrived with Charlotte still feeling "awful" ahead of the day, but excited at the prospect of seeing Chris.

He was busy getting ready, wearing his groom Morph suit alongside his best man Ivan.

Charlotte's dad broke the news to her that the venue they were driving to was Hove Rugby Club, with the bride saying, "I know it – it's a skanky rugby club," and holding her head in her hands. Oh dear.

It was down to Ivan to reveal the assault course was Charlotte's 'aisle' she had to make her way down, which she gave her all – and seemed to enjoy whilst doing it!

The pair reunited and made their vows with all smiles, so maybe it was actually worth it? Maybe?!

Then, Chris dropped his bombshell of Team Bride taking on Team Groom for the best wedding reception that awaited them inside the rugby club.

It came down to Chris versus Charlotte, with the bride's side resorting to delaying tactics to allow her to win.

In the end, Charlotte ruled her groom had "smashed it" as they celebrated at the reception.

So a semi-Don't Tell The Bride success? Here's hoping for another disaster next week!

Don't Tell The Bride returns to E4 next Wednesday at 9pm.
