You can always rely on Love Island to bring some drama, but tonight (July 17) was especially tense, with a cringe-worthy challenge and a viewer vote-off meaning it was all going on.

What really kicked things off was a game where viewers' tweets were read out with contestants' names omitted, and the Islanders had to guess who the messages were about.

What to Read Next

Among the victims were Marcel and Gabby being outed for not liking Montana and Alex stealing their role as villa advice-givers, Camilla being brought up on seeming innocent but trying it on with three guys, and Olivia's comment about wanting to bed Mike making it to a very upset Chris. AWKWARD to say the least.

Olivia and Chris then spent much of the episode arguing, leading to loads of viewers expressing their distaste for how she was dealing with the situation.

As tension then continued to bubble between the pair, and with all the other Islanders still reeling from the challenge, it set up the show's big finale. One couple were to be sent home – and it was Mike and Tyla who gained the fewest votes from the public.

Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
