First Dates had a huge surprise to deliver on its Valentine's special tonight (February 13).

Returning to the restaurant after six weeks in France for First Dates Hotel, the one-off episode introduced us to comedian Vince, who has pretty much only ever received Valentine's Day cards from his mum.

And from the moment Anna walked in and met Vince, something wasn't quite right for her.

It only turned out that the two had ALREADY been on a first date - and even kissed! - 20 years ago on a night out in Manchester, back when Vince knew Anna's cousin.

"We've been on a date. I know who you are," Vince told her, leading Anna to reply: "I know! That's what I thought when I walked in…"

They couldn't wait to tell waitress Cici Coleman who echoed what we all thought: "Oh my God, this is crazy."

After their date, Vince revealed that he "fancied her years ago and I still do now" and fortunately the feeling was mutual, with the pair even having a cheeky kiss after Vince pointed out that, technically, it wasn't a first date.

But while viewers were won over by the reunion, they weren't at all happy at waiter Sam Conrad when he confessed that he preferred Laura Tott to CiCi.

And that was after Sam had agreed that he would marry CiCi if they were both single in 20 years' time.

No, Sam, just NO.

First Dates returns to Channel 4 later this year.
