It's only the first week of Let it Shine, so you can kind of understand if it takes a while for the judges (and us - the Let It Shine Starway takes some getting used to) to get the hang of things.
But at the very least you'd expect them to know to not give away their scores, like Martin Kemp just did.

Deaglan Arthurs had just delivered an amazing rendition of Frank Sinatra's 'New York, New York' for the judges when it looked like Martin was a little bit too eager to praise the singer.
"Listen, I absolutely loved it but there was a little bit of room left for improvement for the vocals," Martin said. "Your lower end was a little bit pitchy. Take my four as a really good four."
Oops. For reference's sake, that's the equivalent of Len Goodman throwing out a seven in his comments on Strictly Come Dancing without waiting for the SEVERRRRN moment.
All we can say is thank goodness for Graham Norton, who dealt with the little slip up in a way only Graham Norton can - hilariously brilliantly.
"Well we know what he's scoring you," he dead-panned while Martin pretended to creep out of the studio in shame. "Have you seen these shows before Martin? There's supposed to be a bit of tension."
Duly noted, Graham.
Martin's 4 matched Dannii Minogue's score, while fellow judges Amber Riley and Gary Barlow gave him the top score of 5, making a total of 18 and giving Deaglan more than enough to sail through to round two.
Let It Shine airs on BBC One.
