"Watching people watching telly" sounds pretty much like the worst idea for a TV show ever. But somehow Gogglebox is actually the most charming series on the box. We've obsessed over Scarlett Moffatt, sobbed along with Leon and June and ranted about how underrated the Siddiquis are (they are brilliant).
But there are some things still niggling in our brains. Because while the show always manages to make us laugh or cry, it also manages to befuddle us… thanks to the weird things we've spotted in the Goggleboxers' living rooms. And we need answers:
1. WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND JENNY'S TEDDY?
This little chap isn't just a one-off who happened to pop up in the background of an episode. Nope, he's a permanent fixture - which makes us think he might be quite important indeed. Is he Jenny's companion from childhood? Has he been loved and treasured and cuddled for years? Or is he just, in fact, an afterthought picked up in a supermarket? We need to know.
2. JUST HOW MANY COCKTAIL SHAKERS DOES ONE COUPLE NEED?
We all know Steph and Dom like a drink. They've mentioned it just a few times. But we're quite frankly baffled by their huge selection of drinking paraphernalia. Surely they only need one cocktail shaker? Two at most, one each? But no, they have at least four… and that's just the ones we can see.

3. WHAT IS GILES AND MARY'S TABLE ALL ABOUT?
It gives us the shivers. Is it a cat? A panther? What is it staring at? How do Giles and Mary see that every day and not go to bed to have nightmares? We can't look at it any more: it's going to come for us.
4. AND, OBVIOUSLY, WHAT CAME FIRST: THE CHAIR OR THE WALLPAPER?
The age-old Gogglebox question. And one that still hasn't been answered to our satisfaction.
5. WHAT IS SANDY AND SANDRA'S GIANT CARROT ABOUT?
Why do they have a rubber carrot at all? And why is it in the fruit bowl? Has anyone ever accidentally had a chew?
6. WHERE ON EARTH DOES REVEREND KATE BUY HER TEA COSIES?
We are truly fascinated by this. How many tea cosies does she actually have? A different tea cosy in each shot is quite a feat. Does she have a tea cosy drawer? Perhaps she purchases them in the same place as her slippers. We wonder whether she has more tea cosies, or more slippers.
7. WHAT IS THE GILBEYS' DOLL ALL ABOUT?
Another decorative item that gives us the heebie jeebies. That doll might look like she's just sitting there innocently, but we wouldn't be too sure of our safety being in that living room after dark. We are not convinced she doesn't come alive like something out of a horror movie.
8. DO BILL AND JOSEF EVER GET EMBARRASSED BY THAT PAINTING?
Normally on Gogglebox we only see the bottom half of the breasts, but there's still no denying what the painting depicts. Now we know it's art, but if we had that on the wall, we'd feel just a bit self-conscious bringing guests into our living room. Or, indeed, a TV crew. Or the entire nation.
9. ARE THE GOGGLEBOX FAMILIES OBSESSED WITH BUDGIES?
Giles and Mary have a budgie. The Siddiquis have a budgie. We're just waiting for Leon and June to get budgie beakers and we'll know we have a conspiracy on our hands.
10. DO STEPHEN AND CHRIS HAVE ANY PICTURES THAT AREN'T OF THEIR DOGS?
A picture of their dogs. Another picture of their dogs. A third picture that appears to be of a dog. Two cuddly toy dogs. Three actual dogs. You know, we think they might be just a little bit fond of dogs.
