Married at First Sight UK star Leisha Lightbody has said she believes there are still "unanswered questions" surrounding her split with fellow contestant and groom Reiss Boyce.

The pair wed during the latest season of the reality TV show, but split just weeks after sharing their final vows in the last episode.

Despite the couple enduring a turbulent time on the E4 programme, they decided to continue their relationship off-camera, but Reiss called time on their romance during the explosive reunion specials, which hit our screens last week.

Speaking to The Mirror, Leisha reflected on her time on the show and said she felt she "went into it a bit naive" and watching it air after the fact has been "quite hard".

"When we left after final vows, I genuinely thought that we were in this fairytale and thought we were going to watch it back and it was going to be a magical thing, but actually, he didn't like me as much as I thought," she continued.

"I honestly thought that he really did like me, and I'm not saying he didn't, but obviously they picked up things that he said on camera that he didn't necessarily say too much to me."

Leisha said that she felt Reiss had "given her mixed signals" during their relationship as they had been "intimate every single night" and he had been "very tactile".

"I'm not a body, I'm a human being, I've got feelings, I've got emotions, and I feel like there was just a lot of mixed emotions, and I think looking back, he probably just wasn't emotionally available," she said.

Following their split, Reiss told The Sun that he reunited with his ex, TOWIE star Dani Imbert, after admitting he was in love with her, but their relationship ended again.

"I just wish that he would have made that a little bit clearer to me just so that I can protect myself because I think I was quite vulnerable and I think I was probably a bit naive," Leisha continued.

Speaking about his reunion with Dani, she added: "I'm completely over Reiss now, but I think there's a little part of me that's still a bit upset over the way it ended, and things have come out of the woodwork with him and his ex.

"I just feel like there are lots of unanswered questions. I think he was probably just done before he finished it, but I don't think he was ever really in it."
