Davina McCall has revealed her scar after undergoing brain surgery.

The presenter, who recently had surgery to remove a "very rare" benign brain tumour, was treated to a haircut by her hairstylist boyfriend Michael Douglas during an Instagram Live on Monday (December 23).

Showing the scar on her head for the very first time, Davina told viewers: "It's all healed, it's a bit crusty."

Referring to the loss of hair around the scar, she added: "We lost a big chunk here."

However, Michael was quick to reassure his partner, noting how hair grows around "15cm a year" and telling her: "By this time next year, you won't notice."

Michael then cut a fringe for Davina, prompting one fan to joke in the comments: "A fringe is cheaper than Botox."

"You are absolutely right," Davina laughed. "I've got lots of wrinkles in my forehead. I mean, I can't and I don't have Botox. I have had it before, like in my frown lines.

"But when I'm doing shows like Long Lost Family, the people I'm talking to need to know how I'm feeling. I can tell them how I'm feeling with my face, I can emote.

"So it's important that I can move my eyebrows. But a fringe really helps soften your forehead."

Following her brain surgery, Davina shared that her "short-term memory is a bit remiss".

However, she later told fans that she was "feeling much better" after returning home and is being "brilliantly looked after" by her loved ones.

"Just to say that now I'm trying to sleep a lot and get better," she explained. "My short term memory really is improving a lot every day, and it has been an example to me on how much sleep helps me recover from everything.

"So if I feel a bit confused or I'm struggling to concentrate, I just go to sleep and I wake up completely renewed and refreshed so I know that my brain needs lots of sleep. And just wanted to thank you all for your ongoing support, thanks so much."
