The cast of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! were punished after a rule break, with two stars admitting to smuggling contraband into camp.

Thursday’s (November 21) episode was an action-packed affair as Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles were introduced as late arrivals, with the duo spending the night in the deceptively luxurious Jungle Junkyard.

One of the tasks involved duping Melvin Odoom into thinking they were performing an horrendous trial, with the duo gorging on treats as the DJ was covered in offal. Melvin did eventually secure the prize of 10 cupcakes, though the total was halved due to the rule break.

The star was ordered to bring “all remaining contraband” to the newly-formed jungle amnesty in order to avoid further reprimands, with the DJ being required to grill his campmates as he returned from the task.

Barry McGuigan was quick to answer, remarking: “So presumably it's the teabags, right?” as some of the campmates looked on sheepishly. “It's going to get us in trouble, we're not going to get our cakes,” he continued, before sharing in the Bush Telegraph that he was “annoyed.”

Danny Jones implored Dean to do the right thing and hand them in, though Oti Mabuse was more understanding as she remarked that they were “all guilty.” GK Barry branded Dean as “naughty”, with the star eventually placing the teabags into the amnesty bin.

Dean wasn’t the only one to smuggle prohibited goods into the camp, with Tulisa admitting that Melvin had handed her some salt during the first day of cooking, though she maintained that she was yet to use any of it.
