Kate Ferdinand and Rio Ferdinand's son was rushed to hospital after injuring himself during a family holiday in the Maldives.

Taking to her Instagram Stories yesterday (November 5), former TOWIE star Kate shared a black-and-white photo of their three-year-old son Cree on a stretcher in the back of an ambulance.

"We ended a fabulous trip with a broken collar bone," she captioned the post, which also showed her bending down to kiss Cree. "My boy just always gets injured!! It’s been sleepless nights, cuddles, tv & chocolate since."

Kate previously opened up about her relationship with her stepchildren, revealing on the Parenting Hell podcast: "Their mum is a massive part of our lives and always will be.

"I would never want the children to think I am taking the role of [Rebecca]. I am a maternal figure to them but their mum is their mum.

"She is part of our lives. We talk about her all the time. It is really weird but I feel like I know her."
