MAFS UK spoilers follow.

MAFS UK star Sionainn Carmichael has explained why she appeared "shaky" in recent episodes.

Sionainn made a big impression when she debuted on the E4 reality show earlier this season, as cold feet nearly prevented her from going through with marrying Ryan Livesey.

The couple ultimately did move forward with the experiment, but some viewers later noticed she appeared "jittery" during some of her scenes.

Sionainn explained in an Instagram Story Q&A with fans this week that she had a medical condition that hadn't made it to screens.

"I’m a shaky gal anyway but I had a horrible chest infection and was on my second course of steroids in a month after the honeymoon, so I was literally rattling," she wrote.

This week's episodes proved to be a pivotal turning point for Sionainn and her groom Ryan, as they decided to leave the experiment and separate.

Sionainn explained to co-stars Emma Barnes and Lacey Martin that a squabble over shoelaces with Ryan turned into a more serious disagreement about their future together.

"He just spoke to me really, really poorly. And I said, 'Ryan don’t speak to me like that. You’re not going to speak to me like shit',"’ she recalled.

"And it just flipped. He decided to tell me that none of his feelings had ever been real. He’d been faking it all. It was all a holiday romance for him."

After Ryan Livesey allegedly compared his marriage to "a holiday romance", he released a statement to clarify that he had "real feelings" for Sionainn.

"The process of Married at First Sight is intense and an emotional rollercoaster and I genuinely believe I tried my absolute best throughout the whole process," he wrote.

"I was starting to develop real feelings and it meant a lot to hear Sionainn say she felt 'safe and comfortable' around me. This is something I truly pride myself on, not only as a man but also a dad."

He later concluded: "I will always be grateful for the experience and the opportunity to learn and grow as a person as I continue to take these life lessons into my future. RL x."
