The latest Taskmaster spin-off, Junior Taskmaster, has officially confirmed its release date.

The new series will be premiere on Channel 4 on Friday, November 8 at 8pm, and continue to air weekly from then.

Instead of Greg Davies and Alex Horne, we've got Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak as our new Taskmaster and assistant. The two have previous experience, having appeared on the ninth and 11th seasons.

For this junior series, we won't be following five people over the course of a couple of weeks. Instead, there will be 25 contestants (aged between nine and 11), with five weekly heats with five contestants each.

The best 10 players will then compete in two semi-finals, before a grand final with the top five contestants competing for a statue of the Junior Taskmaster's head.

There's also a new Junior Taskmaster house, which combines a shed, caravan, and laboratory with a revolving top hat spinning wheel, a sandcastle pedestal, and a lot of zebras.

"To be appointed as Junior Taskmaster is one of the greatest honours of my already wildly successful career," Rose said last year when she was confirmed to take part.

"I am greatly looking forward to the power going to my head."

"All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a Little Alex Horne (or a regional manager for a major provider of motorway service stations) so this is literally a dream come true," Mike added.

"I hereby vow to do my utmost to hold the office of Junior Taskmaster's Assistant in the spirit of the original Little Alex Horne: with his courage, his grit and his dignity."

The series was commissioned after the censored version of the main show became incredibly popular with families and younger audiences.

Recently, Alex spoke about the state of the franchise and its spin-offs, reflecting on which one failed and whether they want to expand even further.

Taskmaster airs and streams on Channel 4. Junior Taskmaster will air and stream on Channel 4 from November 8.
