Celebrity Traitors finally got confirmed in 2024, after months and months of rumour and speculation.

The BBC has announced that a nine-episode, star-studded spin-off of its runaway hit The Traitors is on the way, while also revealing that a fourth season of the main show is coming too.

But which celebrities are going to be reaching for their cloak and quill for a stay in the Scottish castle?

Here are all of the names currently rumoured for the cast of Celebrity Traitors, with filming due to take place in 2025...

Rylan

The presenter and Big Brother super fan is TV gold, and we couldn't think of a better candidate for those intense round tables.

During an exclusive interview with Digital Spy back in January, Rylan addressed rumours of a celebrity version of The Traitors.

Naturally, we couldn't pass up the chance to ask whether he'd want to be involved, and he said: "I'm one of those guys that says 'never say never' to anything. I love watching it."

"I don't know if I'd be a good Traitor or not," Rylan said. "What do you think? Do you think I've got a good poker face?"

Stephen Fry

The Mail on Sunday started this rumour, who named the former QI presenter as being someone who host Claudia Winkleman was 'super keen' to have on board.

Stephen was quizzed about the headlines during a chat on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 breakfast show earlier this month (via Express), where he responded: "I've heard rumours that I'm in it… but I'm not allowed to comment."

Zoe seemed excited by his cryptic words, calling them "promising" – but is he actually set for the Scottish Highlands?

The Mirror reported that the former Pointless presenter – who also now has his Thursday Murder Club film coming to cinemas and Netflix – was 'being eyed up' for the Celebrity Traitors lineup.

An insider source was quoted as telling the publication that he would be a "terrific signing" for the BBC show. Well, naturally.

Tom Daley

According to The Sun, Tom Daley has lined up his first TV gig since retiring from diving – and it's a spot on the Beeb's flagship reality show.

The publication claims that he is in 'final talks' to join the cast in the castle, with an insider pointing out that Tom has "always been a top target for reality show bookers".

Clare Balding

Another name to come from The Sun, the former flat jockey and popular broadcaster has been linked to the Celebrity Traitors cast.

Clare apparently previously turned down an offer to go on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, as reported by Daily Star (via Metro) back in 2012. But is now her time to join a different reality show format?

She's a fan-favourite on Celebrity Gogglebox, where she appears alongside her wife Alice Arnold, after all.

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay

The Sun has claimed that The Traitors is keen to have a celebrity duo on board for its star-studded special.

The publication notes that the move has been inspired by the popularity of mum-and-son duo Diane and Ross, who became favourites of the most recent series, as well as top-secret couple Tom and Alex from The Traitors' debut series.

Vernon Kay and Tess Daly have been suggested as a famous couple that could be taking part in The Traitors' first UK celebrity season, as have father-and-son duo Harry and Jamie Redknapp.

The Traitors series 1-2 are streaming on BBC iPlayer. Two more series and a celebrity spin-off have already been confirmed.
