Big Brother spoilers follow for the latest episode to air.
Big Brother viewers have reacted to one housemate changing their name as part of a task.
In the latest (October 8) episode, housemate Rosie and non-housemate Thomas competed in a game of dares to determine who got to live in the house and who had to stay in storage and face eviction.
Thomas had to shave off one of his eyebrows, wear a bucket on his head, and don a nasty-smelling scarf.

Rosie was dared to drink a cheese sandwich that has been put through a blender, stick chewing gum in her hair, have all her nominations be public for the rest of the season, and change her name while in the house.

She refused the nominations dare, throwing the task, and she eventually faced eviction. But she gamely drank the sandwich smoothie and signed a piece of paper declaring her name was now... Baked Potato.
Not only was Rosie, sorry, Baked Potato referred to as such for the rest of the episode, that was her name on the voting section of the app, while Will Best corrected anyone and everyone on Late & Live who referred to her as Rosie.

Viewers on X (which itself used to go by another name) were living for the silliness of the whole thing, especially as Baked Potato ended up being nominated despite all the dares she completed.
Long-term Big Brother viewers also pointed out that Channel 4 did something similar back in the day.
Will you vote to evict Baked Potato ahead of this Friday's show, or will you opt for a less starchy housemate?
Big Brother airs daily at 9pm on ITV2, with Late & Live following on the same channel afterwards. Both shows can be streamed via ITVX.
