Married at First Sight UK's Jay Howard has landed an exciting new role.

The reality star, who made history as the dating show's first disabled cast member last year, is set to front a new three-part documentary series for ITV titled Unfiltered Women.

According to OK! Magazine, Unfiltered Women is part of ITV's returning Fresh Cuts strand, which are a collection of documentaries that champion underrepresented voices and are produced and directed by first-time talent from diverse backgrounds.

This year's strand will focus on Disability History Month, featuring a Loose Women-style panel with Jay as one of the main figures.

"Fresh Cuts has been a fantastic route to giving new talent their first network credits and I’m excited to be a part of this year’s series," said Richard Botchway, commissioning editor at ITV.

"The new short-form approach is intended to create engaging, more easily shareable content, with the potential to attract younger audiences and bring greater visibility to the series, wherever audiences choose to view their content."

Unfiltered Women will be available to watch on on ITV and ITVX this November during Disability History Month.

Jay was partnered up with Luke Worley on last year's series of MAFS UK, though their time on the show was cut short as they left as a couple following a physical altercation between Luke and Jordan Gayle.

However, Jay later said she was proud to use that time to speak openly about her disability.

"I'm just really proud of myself that I've been able to be given the chance to speak about disability but in a good way, like a good representation," she told Digital Spy.

"I'm a very open person anyway, I want people to ask the questions that nobody dares ask, because I don't get offended. I understand that some people that do have limb differences can get offended. But I'm very open and I'm more than happy to anybody's questions that they might have."
