Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles has confirmed that he will return to rehearsals following his injury.
The presenter, who is partnered with Luba Mushtuk, made his full debut on the dancefloor on Saturday (September 21), but his participation in the series was thrown into doubt following an arm injury he sustained whilst changing a tyre on his car.
After visiting a doctor to assess the injury, Knowles told Janette Manrara in Monday’s (September 23) episode of Strictly: It Takes Two that he would aim to soldier on, and he was true to his word as he shared via Instagram on Tuesday (September 24) that he would soon see if he could perform in week two.

“Arm update!” he began, with the post including a photo of his arm in a sling. “Today I have seen Dr’s and Physio’s who have been wonderful. I’ve had scans (I’ll spare you the grim details) and although it’s feeling a bit better today, the issue is, we don’t know if I can actually use my arm to dance.
“So tomorrow, I’m going to rehearsals with @lubamushtuk and the physio to see just what my arm can do. Then the medics will make a call on if they think I can continue dancing. I am still really hopeful that I’ll be able to dance this weekend. So fingers crossed…”

Knowles and Mushtuk found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday, scoring 18 points from the judges for their jive.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
