Married at First Sight UK star Nathan Campbell made a huge blunder during his wedding ceremony with Lacey Martin.

The E4 reality show returned this week with its ninth season, following a new batch of singletons as they seek to find love in the experiment.

In Tuesday’s (September 17) episode, we saw Nathan – a 24-year-old engineer from Somerset – and Lacey – a 27-year-old office manager from Hertfordshire – prepare for their big day, though it got off to a rocky start.

As Nathan stood at the altar waiting for Lacey to arrive, he made a huge blunder as he mistook Lacey’s twin sister, Paige, for his bride, a mistake that left her family and friends wincing in awkwardness.

Things got even more tense at the altar after Lacey arrived, with the bride left feeling short-changed after he remarked that she merely looked “nice” – Lacey expressed her feelings in the VT.

“Nice? Nice? I want [him to say I’m] ‘beautiful’. I want [him to say I’m] ‘gorgeous’. I want [him to say I’m] ‘stunning’. Your nan or your mum are normally the ones who look nice. Nah,” she said, with the excruciating speeches not helping with the tension.

Lacey later found out from her friends that Nathan had mistaken Paige as his bride, assessing: “It’s not nice hearing my husband say ‘wow’ to my twin sister, because growing up people used to say that she was prettier than me. It annoyed me because I didn’t get a ‘wow.’”

The new couple spoke about the matter, as they had some private time, with Nathan admitting that his nerves got the better of him throughout most of the ceremony. Lacey began to reach an understanding, but will the situation resurface? ...
