Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague has said her recent split from former fiancée Tommy Fury has been "blown way out of proportion".

The reality star, who first met Tommy on the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show and welcomed daughter Bambi with him in 2023, announced earlier this month that the couple had decided to end their relationship after five years.

Molly-Mae has now returned to YouTube for the first time since the break-up, sharing a 36-minute vlog in which she reflected on the last few weeks.

"The last two weeks have been very, very real," she began. "It's real life and it's something that we have been going through as privately as we can, but obviously not privately whatsoever because I haven't really been able to get away from it in the last couple of weeks.

"And the last thing I want to do is come on here and fuel that more.

"I don't really ever plan on talking about the past couple of weeks, it's not something I feel comfortable with," she continued.

"Like I say, this is real life. It is not drama, it is not tea, it is not a publicity stunt, as much as I wish it was. This is real life and very sad and it's very deep."

Molly-Mae reiterated that she would not comment further on the split out of respect for Tommy "because it's just not nice," adding: "And I feel like everything over the last couple of weeks... it's been a lot and been blown way out of proportion.

"It's all gotten a bit carried away with itself. And the last thing I want to do is be fuelling that fire anymore and stirring the pot when it doesn't need to be stirred."

Speaking about Tommy, she added: "He is Bambi's dad and I will always value him and respect him and obviously always have a lot of love for him.

"We were together for five years and it is very, very sad."

Tommy recently condemned "false allegations" surrounding the former couple's split, writing on Instagram: "These last few weeks have been heartbreaking. The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this."

A spokesperson for the boxer previously denied that infidelity was to blame for the separation, stating that Tommy "is horrified by the false allegations of cheating".

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
