Love Island stars Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammed have officially split up, calling time on their year-long relationship.
The stars coupled up in the ninth season of the reality show back in early 2023, eventually reaching the final as they finished in fourth place.
Despite going on strong outside the villa, rumours that the pair had broken up had begun to circulate in recent weeks, and now they have confirmed the news in a joint statement on Instagram Stories.

“Hi guys, just want to say unfortunately me and Shaq are no longer together and have parted ways,” wrote Tanya. “We wish each other the best and can't thank you enough for loving us together until now! Thank you.”
The rumours began to circulate last month after eagle-eyed fans of the show spotted that the pair had unfollowed each other on social media, with Shaq’s no-show on Love Island: Aftersun fuelling the fire.
Tanya and Shaq aren’t the only couple from Love Island to split up this week, with Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins who appeared together in the most recent 11th season - announcing their breakup on Thursday (August 22).

“There is a lot of confusion with the people who were following us and thinking we are still together,” said Reuben. “So even today, I put the statement up on my social media saying we’ve split, and people are still messaging me saying, 'Wait are you guys still together? What's going on?'
“I just think considering the situation, it's the best thing to do. I don't have a bad word to say about the woman. We've been talking since. We still talk and stuff. We're still friends. She is shining right now. She is killing it. Everything I have said before, I stand by it. 100%.”
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
