Celebrity Race Across the World spoilers follow.
Celebrity Race Across the World season 2 is seeing contestants travel across South America — though one pair didn't seem to have got the memo about it being a race.
This year's lineup is made up of TV icon Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi, Ted Lasso's Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen, television host Jeff Brazier and his son Freddie, and BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills and his husband Sam Vaughan.
As the reality TV show returned to BBC One for its second season tonight (August 14), viewers were confused by Kelly's decision to take it slow and enjoy the ride, though her strategy worked out in the end.

For the first leg of the journey, the teams started in Belem, Brazil, and were headed to the checkpoint of Canoa Quebrada, located in a different Brazilian state. Their final destination is Frutillar in Chile.

Despite Jeremy insisting they should go inland, Kelly opted to spend almost all of the first 24 hours closer to the coast in Bragança, where they helped plant mangroves in exchange for a room.
As the other teams advanced towards the checkpoint, the husband-and-wife duo stayed behind.
"If we continue like this, we'd need 200 days," Jeremy told Kelly, urging her to pick up the pace.

Some fans at home sided with Jeremy, with one person writing on Twitter/X: "I'm loving Race Across The World. I fear for Kelly's desire to have a romantic sightseeing mini-break."
"Don't think that Kelly Brook has seen Race Across the world before," read another comment.
Caving to Jeremy's requests, Kelly agreed to take a 14-hour night bus to Teresina, which would get them closer to the checkpoint. Surprisingly, the couple were the first to get to Canoa Quebrada and cheered in disbelief.
"We surrendered to the fact we were last," Kelly said.
The pair were followed by Scott and Sam in second place, Jeff and Freddie in third, while Kola and Mary Ellen finished last.
Celebrity Race Across the World airs on BBC One.
