Love Island stars Olivia and Alex Bowen have shared a relationship update.

The couple first met on the ITV dating series back in 2016, and tied the knot two years later. In January 2022, they shared the news that they were expecting a baby, before welcoming their son Abel in June that year.

In a new interview with OK! Magazine, Olivia and Alex have revealed that they're thinking of extending their family.

"We think we want two but we're unsure, it's such a big decision. We love Abel so much and I love putting all my energy into him, but I do want a sibling [for him]," said Olivia.

"I did not think me and Alex would get married and have a child when we were on Love Island," she said. "Love Island is so different from when we were in there, we didn't have Casa Amor or Movie Night... we got lucky with that!"

She continued: "We look back at when we married and think, 'We were kids!' We felt so grown up, but I was 24, we were so young. We're very happy, living a more chilled life and it's really nice."

Alex also discussed how he has embraced fatherhood and that it has taught him to be more "patient" and "organised", while ensuring he's "enjoying the moment for what it is".

Olivia and Alex were the first couple from the ITV2 show to get married. After tying the knot at a stately home in Essex, the pair jetted off to Sri Lanka and the Maldives for their honeymoon.

A number of Love Island couples have since made it to the altar, including series two winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, series three stars Dom Lever and Jess Shears, and Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt.

Following in their footsteps, series five stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced their engagement in July 2023, while series nine winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan shared the news of their betrothal in April.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
