Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams has confirmed his next project, with the actor joining the cast for Cabaret.
The Bad Education and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie star wowed audiences as he reached the Strictly final with Nikita Kuzmin, with the pair eventually losing out to Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.
With his stint on the dancefloor soon to be over, Layton has landed his next role as he will play the iconic Emcee in the West End production of Cabaret, with performances coming to the famous Kit Kat Club.

The performances will begin on June 3, with Layton’s and Norwood’s run confirmed to be concluding on September 21. Rebecca Frecknall is directing the production, which recently celebrated its 1000th show.

Before Layton takes to the stage, he will reunite with his Strictly partner Nikita for two final shows in Manchester and London, the first of which will serve as a homecoming for Layton.
“We’re bringing what we brought to Strictly,” teased Layton. “But there’s no rules this time, which is fab. No rules, no regulations, we can have fun and celebrate – it’s almost like a thank you to everybody who supported us throughout our journey.
“It’s going to be fierce, fabulous and fearless. I’m buzzing to perform there [in Manchester], hopefully all my friends and family can come to see it. “Hopefully we’ll go out with a bang. It might be the last of me and Nikita.”
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
