If you've tuned in for Josh Must Win on Channel 4 this evening (March 25), you might be wondering who is providing the voiceover.
From Marcus Bentley on Big Brother to Rob Beckett on Celebs Go Dating, the dulcet tones of those who narrate our favourite reality shows can become as recognisable a part of the show as the contestants or the format itself.
When it comes to Josh Must Win, there's a lot to draw us in – from the ruse that keeps the show's whole premise afloat (none of the contestants, Josh included, know the real aim of the game) to the panel of celebrities who are watching and occasionally messing with the parameters of the 'popularity' contest.
But the voice that's narrating everything we're watching is actually none other than that of Diane Morgan – of Philomena Cunk fame.
In Morgan's breakout role she undertook satirical investigations in Charlie Brooker's 2013 Weekly Wipe series on the BBC, with topics ranging from Shakespeare to the benefit system.
As it turns out, her accent wasn't planned as part of the original vision for Philomena and yet it became simultaneous with the character.

"Charlie had envisaged Cunk as posh but thick," Morgan previously explained (via The Guardian). "What he definitely didn't want was someone with a regional accent because that would be like saying you're thick if you've got a regional accent."
But when Morgan asked to audition in her native Bolton accent, the stars aligned.
Diane Morgan has since become a regular across British comedies, and you may also recognise her voice from her more recent roles on Netflix. She played the Tambury Gazette's office eccentric Kath in After Life, and reunited with Brooker as part of the mockumentary Death to 2020.
Morgan also starred in Sharon Horgan's BBC sitcom Motherland, alongside Anna Maxwell Martin, as well as showing up in series seven of Inside No. 9 and in her own surrealist BBC sitcom, Mandy.
Josh Must Win airs on Channel 4.
