The Apprentice spoilers follow.

The Apprentice fired its ninth contestant, with Noor Bouziane becoming the latest contestant to leave the competition.

Tonight’s (March 21) episode saw Lord Alan Sugar task the teams with creating an advertising campaign for an electric campervan, complete with branding and a pitch to investors.

Team Nexus eventually came out on top despite some complaints about their branding, leaving Team Supream to return to the boardroom.

The group, under the leadership of Noor for the first time in this series, failed to impress investors with their advertising campaign, with the project manager involved in regular arguments with Tre Lowe during filming.

After much deliberation between the contestants, Lord Sugar acted decisively as he fired Noor before she even had the opportunity to bring two other team members into the boardroom.

Noor was subsequently absent from her scheduled appearance on spin-off show You're Fired, but the panel attributed her exit to her failure to lean on her fellow team members when out of her comfort zone.

“I have sympathy with her as she tried to have a voice when it wasn’t always the same as the people in charge,” said Cally Beaton on You're Fired. “The only place she really fell down – and it’s such a hard lesson to learn – is knowing what you don’t know and surrounding yourself with people who may know more than you.

“Leaning on them, willingly, is a brilliant way to get better. I think that’s where she hasn’t quite got it yet, just letting the outside input stuff in. And letting people make you look good – if somebody else does something and you get the credit for it, that’s fantastic. Fail forward, that’s fine!

The Apprentice airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
