Love Island's Georgia Steel has opened up about the "double standards" she thinks are in place around women on the show.
Georgia first appeared on Love Island in 2018 but returned to the show for the All Stars edition this year. Unfortunately, Georgia experienced fan backlash after she and Toby Aromolaran hooked up again. That backlash plagued her appearance on the show.
Now, in an interview with OK!, Georgia has said that she thinks there are "double-standards" at play.

"It feels a bit wrong because the boys would be doing those things, but for a girl to get to know multiple people at the same time, it was so frowned upon," Georgia said.
"I feel that it’s double standards. But I also feel like, as long as my family and friends are fine, and what they considered I did in the villa was OK, that’s all that really matters to me."

She continued: "It’s not nice to get horrible comments and death threats. Even some of my friends in the public eye that were sticking up for me were receiving death threats."

Previously, Georgia told The Sun that she feared the public's perception of her could affect their relationship and she opened up about the fan backlash.
"I felt like the most hated woman in the country. I had a feeling I would get some stick when I got out, but never did I know that the trolling would be so intense," Georgia said.
"I've had death threats, my family and friends have had death threats and I feel slightly responsible for that. It was an entertainment show at the end of the day, and coming out of it, I have felt down. I don't want people I love to go through that."
