The Apprentice spoilers ahead.

Lord Alan Sugar booted another contestant off The Apprentice series 18 tonight (March 7).

Now in Week Six, the two teams were sent away to design a brand-new cereal aimed at kids aged six to eight – complete with augmented reality game, launch event and a pitch to potential clients, while under the eagle-eyed scrutiny of Karren Brady and Tim Campbell.

Steve Darken and Sam Saadet volunteered themselves as project managers, with the former opting for a superhero-themed product called Power Hoops and the latter coming up with 'arctic' boulders Polar Crunch.

Asda, Waitrose, Ocado and Iceland were all interested in investing, yet the eventual sales figures illustrated the gap in quality.

Steve's creation welcomed 200,000 units on a three-month exclusivity deal with Iceland, while Sam only managed 7,500 orders across three separate buyers. The main gripe was that Polar Crunch's weak passionfruit flavouring didn't at all mesh with the product.

"Sam, the buyers said that the product wouldn't stand out on a supermarket shelf, that's why they didn't buy any," Sugar revealed in the boardroom, where Sam had brought back team members Maura Rath and Phil Turner for the final showdown.

"I admire your honesty, and I can tell that you get on with everyone, and that is a good virtue in business," the business mogul added.

"However, the kids found the cereal boring and bland, so it is with sincere regret that you're fired. Go home to the two babies."

Proud of her journey on The Apprentice, Sam told cameras in the back of the black cab: "I was completely and utterly myself throughout the whole process, and Lord Sugar saw that.

"His comments at the end meant more to me than anything, and I completely went out on a high, and I get to go home to my babies now."

The Apprentice airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
